About The Role:
Urban Sky is scaling rapidly, and we’re looking for a Project Manager / Scrum Master to drive effective collaboration and clear communication between our growing engineering team, manufacturing operations, and business stakeholders. As our projects increase in complexity and scope, you’ll play a critical role within the engineering organization, leveraging your expertise in ticket management (like Jira) and Agile methodologies to streamline workflows, communicate priorities clearly, and manage the execution of projects end-to-end. 

In this role, you’ll closely partner with our engineers to understand technical requirements, communicate changes effectively to manufacturing and operations, and proactively align with business objectives. Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies: sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and backlog refinement. 
  • Coordinate closely with engineers, manufacturing, and business teams to align project goals. 
  • Own project timelines, track milestones, dependencies, and proactively manage risks. 
  • Administer and optimize ticket tracking workflows, ensuring transparency and clear team communication. 
  • Foster continuous improvement, driving teams toward higher performance and adaptability. 
  • Clearly communicate project progress, changes, and risks to stakeholders across the organization. 

Qualifications:
  • 3+ years as a Project Manager or Scrum Master, preferably in aerospace, hardware, or technology. 
  • Expertise with Agile methodologies and experience facilitating Scrum ceremonies. 
  • Deep proficiency in JIRA for workflow management, tracking, and reporting. 
  • Proven ability to coordinate cross-functionally between technical and business teams. 
  • Outstanding organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. 
  • Successfully guide the team and the organization on how to use Agile Practices.   
  • Quantify the team's current state using standard or bespoke tools (surveys, gap analyses, dysfunction mapping, etc.), create and implement improvement plans. 
  • Encourage a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or judgement, with an emphasis on problem-solving.  
  • Get results without coercion, assigning, or dictating the work.
  • Facilitate discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution. 
  • Support and educate the Product Owner, especially on refinement and maintenance of the product backlog, providing supplemental action as/when needed. 
Nice-to-Haves/Preferred Skills:
  • Professional Scrum Master (PSM), Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), or Agile Practitioner (PMI-ACP).
  • Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Experience establishing Agile/Scrum practices from the ground up. 
Requirements:
  • Must be US Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • Must be located near Denver, CO or willing to relocate to Denver, CO
    • Our office is at 4800 Race St. In Denver, CO and this role is on-site 

Benefits:
  • Salary $90,000 - $120,000 per year
    • We are required to post this salary range per Colorado law. Your salary will be determined based on your abilities and experience.
